Abstract:
This electric brake device (1) has a control device (2) that controls a braking force by driving an electric motor (10). The control device (2) comprises: an angle estimation unit (32) that estimates a rotation angle of the electric motor (10); a braking force estimator (22) that estimates the braking force; a rigidity estimator (24) that estimates rigidity, which is a correlation associating the rotation amount of the electric motor (10) and the braking force; and a braking force control unit (36) that derives a motor drive amount by using the estimated rigidity estimated by the rigidity estimator (24). The rigidity estimator (24) has a rigidity estimation calculation unit (46) that derives an error by comparing another calculation value derived from one among the stored estimated angle and estimated braking force by using the estimated rigidity, and another stored piece of data, and that estimates the rigidity by performing a convergence calculation for adjusting a decision variable such that the error is reduced to at least a prescribed acceptable amount.
