Abstract:
The present invention relates to an earthquake-resistant pipe connecting device using an elastic space ring formed of elastic material, and more specifically, to an earthquake-resistant pipe connecting device using an elastic space ring formed of elastic material, the device comprising: a first fixing ring of synthetic resin material, the first fixing ring being coupled to the outer circumferential surface of an end of one of pipes which are installed in contact with each other, and having an O-ring in each of the inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface thereof, wherein the outer circumferential surface of the first fixing ring is formed as a spherical surface which is an inclined surface of which the thickness decreases away from a contact surface of the pipe; a second fixing ring of synthetic resin material, the second fixing ring being coupled to the outer circumferential surface of an end of another of the pipes which are installed in contact with each other, and having an O-ring in each of the inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface thereof, wherein the outer circumferential surface of the second fixing ring is formed as a spherical shape which is an inclined surface of which the thickness decreases away from the contact surface of the pipe, and wherein the second fixing ring is installed in a manner in which a side surface thereof is in close contact with a side surface of the first fixing ring; a first flange member of metal material, the first flange member being coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the first fixing ring, having a plurality of fastening holes at intervals along the circumference thereof, and having an inner circumferential surface formed as a spherical surface which is an inclined surface corresponding to the outer circumferential surface of the first fixing ring; a second flange member of metal material, the second flange member being coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the second fixing ring and having a plurality of fastening holes at intervals along the circumference thereof, wherein the second flange member is installed in contact with the first flange member, and the inner circumferential surface of the second flange member is formed as a spherical surface which is an inclined surface corresponding to the outer circumferential surface of the second fixing ring; an elastic space ring inserted between the side surfaces of the first fixing ring and the second fixing ring, wherein the side surfaces face each other; and a plurality of fastening members for fastening and fixing the first flange member and the second flange member integrally with each other.
