Abstract:
Disclosed are: a dye for a dye-sensitized solar cell, which comprises a carbonylthiophene compound represented by formula (1); and a dye-sensitized solar cell produced using the dye.
(In the formula, R1 to R6 independently represent a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; m, n, o and p independently represent an integer of 0, 1 or more and meet the requirements represented by the formulae 1 ≤ m+n+o and 2 ≤ m+n+o+p ≤ 1,000; Z represents a bivalent organic group selected from the formulae (2) to (4); and R7 to R16 independently represent a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms.)
