Abstract:
Provided is a dust cover in which external foreign objects and knuckle rust infiltrating a cutout in a pinch bolt ball joint do not accumulate on a seal part, thereby preventing wear from contact of the seal part with external foreign objects and knuckle rust that have accumulated. To achieve this purpose, in this dust cover (10), a spherical part in a stud having the spherical part and a shaft part is accommodated in a socket, and the dust cover (10) is mounted on a ball joint having a knuckle is fastened to the shaft part. The dust cover (10) is provided with a large-diameter opening fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the socket, a small-diameter opening (30) attached to the shaft part of the stud, and a film part (40) linking the large-diameter opening and the small-diameter opening (30) together. The small-diameter opening (30) is provided with a seal part (32) in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shaft part, and a contact part (33) in close contact with the knuckle. The contact part (33) has formed therein foreign object discharge grooves (35) that discharge external foreign objects that would accumulate in the small-diameter opening (30).
