Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a dual-card communication method and a terminal device. The method comprises: when dual cards are both in a connected state for cell handover, and when it is determined that a DSDA mode supported by the terminal device can be formed between neighbor cell frequency bands of a first card and between neighbor cell frequency bands of a second card, determining, among initial candidate frequency bands of the cards in which the DSDA mode can be formed, first candidate frequency bands satisfying a preset condition; and from a DSDA combination formed on the basis of the first candidate frequency bands of the cards, determining a target DSDA combination comprising target frequency bands of the cards, so that the terminal device switches the first card and the second card to the corresponding target frequency bands, respectively. According to the method, it can be preferentially ensured that the DSDA mode is continued to be formed between frequency bands on which the dual cards camps after the cell handover, so as to keep the connected state, without influencing normal operation of the cards; moreover, the quality of the frequency bands on which the dual cards camps after the cell handover is superior to the quality of frequency bands on which the dual cards previously camps, so that the signal quality is improved, thereby effectively improving user experience.
