Abstract:
The invention relates to a drum brake device (1) for a vehicle, comprising: - a drum (3); - a plate (2) defining, with the drum, an interior space (7) of the device; and - friction means capable of coming into contact with an inner face of the drum. The plate and/or the drum comprise connection means suitable for being connected to cleaning means suitable for removing residues from the interior space resulting from friction between the drum and the friction means, the connection means comprising at least one through-hole. The device further comprises at least one removably attached shutter on the hole (18) so as to close it. The invention also concerns a method for cleaning a drum brake device comprising a step of applying an overpressure in the interior space.
