The present invention relates to a driving reduction gear mechanism for locomotion wheels of a mower, comprising an input shaft. A first planet carrier coaxially arranged with the input shaft is provided on the circumferential outer side of the input shaft; the input shaft can rotate around an axis; an output segment which penetrates through the first planet carrier to extend outwards and is coaxially arranged with the input shaft is provided on an end face of the input shaft; a second planet carrier coaxially arranged with the output segment is provided on the circumferential outer side of the output segment; a sun gear coaxially arranged with the output segment is provided at an end of the output segment; a planetary gear in meshed transmission with the sun gear is provided in the second planet carrier; a fixed ring gear is provided on the circumferential outer side of the second planet carrier; and the second planet carrier is transmittingly connected to an output ring gear outside the first planet carrier. The present invention has the characteristics of shortening the axial length of the mechanism, reducing the overall size of the mechanism while ensuring the low rotating speed and the high torque of a motor, reducing the cost, and reducing the limitation of the output torque.
