Abstract:
Provided is a driving device which has a high degree of freedom in the arrangement of an input/output part, can transmit power with high efficiency to the output part while having a simple configuration, and can be miniaturized. In this driving device (1), a plurality of steel balls (5), an endless circulation path part (2) which, in a full state, accommodates the plurality of steel balls so that the balls can be circulated, an input part (3) provided with an input rotation engagement body (31) having a sprocket shape, and an output part (4) provided with an output rotation engagement part (41) having a sprocket shape are integrally configured by means of a base part (6). When the steel balls (5) are respectively engaged with a plurality of input engagement parts (34) of the input rotation engagement body (31) and a plurality of output engagement parts (44) of the output rotation engagement body (41), and the input rotation engagement body (31) is rotated, the steel balls (5) are pushed out of the input engagement parts (34) at discharge positions, a plurality of steel balls (5) are pressed and moved by subsequent steel balls (5), and the steel balls (5) engage at supply positions with the output engagement parts (44) of the output rotation engagement body (41) to rotate the output rotation engagement body (41).
