Abstract:
This driving assistance device (40) comprises: a travel trajectory calculation unit (42) which executes driving assistance in an own vehicle and calculates the traveling trajectory of the own vehicle on the basis of periphery monitoring information about an own vehicle (60) that is acquired from a periphery monitoring device (20); an operation area calculation unit (43) which calculates an operation area of the periphery of the own vehicle; and an operation determination unit (48) which, when an object is detected within the operation area on the basis of the periphery monitoring information, determines a driving assistance operation of the own vehicle, wherein the operation determination unit sets the detected object as an object to be determined, for which the driving assistance operation is to be determined, when an angle difference between the current proceeding direction of the detected object detected within the operation area and a proceeding direction in the past traveling trajectory of the own vehicle is smaller than a prescribed angle difference threshold value.
