Abstract:
This driver device rotates a rotor by supplying the output current to each coil of a stepping motor. When the polarity and magnitude of the output current to each coil is controlled so as to maintain target polarity and magnitude after the polarity and magnitude of the output current to each coil has reached the target polarity and magnitude, the presence or absence of the occurrence of a specific current waveform in the output current is detected on the basis of back electromotive force associated with rotor rotation and a predetermined detection signal is transmitted to an external device when the specific current waveform is detected.
