Abstract:
When a remaining power storage capacity of a power storage device is low in an electric construction machine, the decrease in the remaining power storage capacity when shifting to auto idle control is minimized, and the remaining power storage capacity of the power storage device is extended. Therefore, a controller 31 controls the speed of an electric motor 1 so that the speed of the electric motor 1 is reduced from a prescribed speed to an idle speed Ni when none of a plurality of operation devices 20, 21, 22, 23a, 23b, 24 are operating and a prescribed time TD has elapsed. In addition, when the remaining power storage capacity of the power storage device is equal to or less than a first threshold Ea, the prescribed time TD is set to be shorter than when the remaining power storage capacity is greater than the first threshold Ea.
