Abstract:
Provided is a drive device which is capable of detecting a torque outputted from the drive device with great accuracy, and which enables reducing the costs of components for detecting the torque to a low level. This drive device (1) is equipped with: input members (13, 15a) to which a torque is inputted; a deceleration mechanism (15); an output member (16) to which decelerated rotation is transmitted; an input-side rotation detector (18) for detecting rotation of the input members; and an output-side rotation detector (19) for detecting rotation of the output member. The Young's moduli of the portions (15d, 15e) with lowest Young's modulus in the deceleration mechanism (15) and the output member (16) are configured to be smaller than that of the portions with lowest Young's modulus in the input members (13, 15a). The output-side rotation detector (19) has a resolution power lower than that of the input-side rotation detector (18).
