Abstract:
In the present invention, backward traveling is carried out with an engine alone while a motor is disconnected. To this end, outer teeth are formed on the outer circumference of a ring gear 354 which is engaged with a first sun gear 351 via a first pinion gear 355 and a second pinion gear 256, and to which power inputted from a motor 400 is transmitted. A power transmission mechanism 360 is further provided with a gear 358 that engages with the outer teeth of the ring gear, wherein a second clutch 330, which can immobilize the ring gear to prevent rotation when the vehicle is traveling backward with power inputted from the engine 200, is provided between the ring gear and a transmission case 357.
