Abstract:
This drive mechanism is provided with: a first piston which is provided inside of a first cylinder so as to be capable of carrying out reciprocating motion in a first direction in a first installation plane; a first crank shaft which extends perpendicularly to the first installation plane; a first XY-separating crank mechanism which is disposed between the first piston and the first crankshaft in the first installation plane and which converts, in both directions, reciprocal motion of the first piston and rotational motion of the first crankshaft; a second piston which is provided in a second cylinder so as to be capable of carrying out reciprocating motion in a second direction which is symmetrical to the first direction in a second installation plane which is symmetrical to the first installation plane with respect to a central reference plane; a second crankshaft which extends perpendicularly to the second installation plane; a second XY-separating crank mechanism which is provided between the second piston and the second crankshaft in the second installation plane and which converts, in both directions, reciprocating motion of the second piston and rotational motion of the second crankshaft; and a linking/synchronizing mechanism which links the first crankshaft and the second crankshaft and synchronizes and rotates the first and second crankshafts.
