Abstract:

A dome camera (1) comprises a camera lens (4) that is capable of pivoting in tilting direction, and a dome cover (3) that covers the camera lens (4). A tilting pivot (P2) of the camera lens (4) is positioned in an apex direction from a center (P1) of the dome cover (3), and a polarization filter (6) or a partial light exclusion filter (12) is inserted over the light axis of the camera lens (4), in response to the tilt angle of the camera lens (4) becoming larger than a predetermined threshold angle. This dome camera (1) is capable of achieving both the securing of a wide field of vision and the reduction in picture quality deterioration when capturing an image in a direction with a large tilt angle (a direction proximal to the horizontal direction).
