Abstract:
The present invention relates to the improvement of a dividing wall for a primary pulley in a belt-type continuously variable transmission, and the purpose of the invention is to reduce costs by obtaining the intended strength characteristics without implementing a soft nitriding treatment. A dividing wall member, which together with a movable sheave forms a hydraulic pressure chamber, is provided with a small-diameter annular disc 32 extended in a radial direction from a center tubular part mounted to a rotating shaft, and a part in the small-diameter annular disc 32 that connects with an intermediate body part 34 forms a bent part 38 that is bent at approximately 90 degrees. The inner peripheral surface of the bent part 38 in cross section is configured from an inner-diameter-side arc 40-1 having a radius of curvature R1 of which the center position is O1, an outer-diameter-side arc 40-2 having a position different from the first inner-diameter-side arc 40-1 as a center O2 and a radius of curvature R2 having a different value from the radius of curvature R1 of the inner-diameter-side arc 40-1, and an intermediate part 40-3 that smoothly connects the inner-diameter-side arc 40-1 and the outer-diameter-side arc 40-2. A stress value produced in a concave surface 40 when a load is exerted on the dividing wall member can be reduced, and the intended durability can be obtained without performing a soft nitriding treatment on the dividing wall member.
