Abstract:
[Problem] A conventional distance measurement apparatus requires, regardless of a direct TOF system or an indirect TOF system, an increased number of times of integration operation for improving an S/N ratio, and has a problem that a reading time multiplied by the number of times of A/D conversion is necessary, which leads to a frame rate decrease. [Solution] In this distance measurement apparatus, a pixel circuit internally includes a signal selection unit that selectively outputs a light reception signal by a light receiving element and a false signal which is an output of a test control unit, integration is performed in an analog integration unit in the pixel circuit, a different number of times of superimposition of the false signal is used for every subframe, A/D conversion of (N-P) bits with a fixed threshold is executed, digital signals are integrated in a digital integration unit, and distance measurement is performed.
