A display motherboard. The display motherboard is provided with a plurality of display areas, a peripheral area surrounding the display areas, and a cutting area located on the side of the peripheral area distant from the display areas. The display motherboard comprises a substrate motherboard, a virtual retaining wall, a first packaging layer and a first insulating layer. The virtual retaining wall is arranged on the substrate motherboard and located in the cutting area. The virtual retaining wall comprises a flat layer pad and a pixel defining layer pad which are stacked, and the pixel defining layer pad is distant from the substrate motherboard with respect to the flat layer pad. The first packaging layer is located in the display areas and the peripheral area and is spaced apart from the virtual retaining wall. The first insulating layer is arranged on the side of the first packaging layer distant from the substrate motherboard, covers the virtual retaining wall and is in contact with the pixel defining layer pad. The material for the pixel defining layer pad and the material for the first insulating layer both comprise a hydrophilic material.
