Abstract:
Provided are a high-resolution display device and a method for manufacturing same. This display device includes: a first insulative layer and a second insulative layer; a first light-emitting element and a second light-emitting element; and a resin layer. The first light-emitting element includes a first pixel electrode, a first organic layer, and a common electrode. The second light-emitting element includes a second pixel electrode, a second organic layer, and a common electrode. A first insulator includes a groove. The groove includes: a region which overlaps the first pixel electrode; and a region which overlaps the second pixel electrode. The second insulative layer includes: a region which contacts a section of the upper surface of the first organic layer; a region which contacts a lateral surface of the first organic layer; and a region which contacts the first insulative layer, below the first pixel electrode. The resin layer is located between the first organic layer and the second organic layer. The common electrode is disposed so as to cover the upper surface of the resin layer.
