Abstract:

A differential, and vehicle. The differential (100) comprises: a housing (10), and a left half axle gear (11), a right half axle gear (12), a planet gear (13), and a planet gear shaft (14) disposed in the housing (10), wherein the planet gear (13) is rotatably mounted on the planet gear shaft (14), and the planet gear (13) meshes with the left half axle gear (11) and the right half axle gear (12); a power engagement device (20) comprising a first engagement portion (21) and a second engagement portion (22), wherein the first engagement portion (21) is connected to the left half axle gear (11) or the right half axle gear (12), and the second engagement portion (22) rotates synchronously with the housing (10) and is movable along an axle direction with respect to the housing (10); and an engagement portion drive device (30) comprising a drive pin (31) and a drive portion (32), wherein the drive portion (32) is configured to drive the drive pin (31) to drive the second engagement portion (22) to move along the axle direction toward the first engagement portion (21), such that the second engagement portion (22) is engaged with the first engagement portion (21). In this way, the differential of the present invention can lock two half axles to improve the ability of a vehicle to handle rough terrain.
