Abstract:
Provided is a diaphragm valve for which valve seat exchange is easy and a method for exchanging the valve seat thereof, wherein crushing or deformation of the valve seat can be suppressed even when subjected to rapid opening and closing at high temperatures, large flow rates can be maintained in a stable manner, and a high Cv value can be preserved without fluctuation. A diaphragm valve (1) is characterized by comprising: an outer wall section (20) which is for valve seat mounting and is provided to a primary side opening (13) inside a body (2); a stepped section (21) provided to the inner circumference of the outer wall section (20); a seat ring (4) which is press-fitted and affixed into the stepped section (21); a flange section (32) provided to the seat ring (4); and a press fitting groove (42) which is for valve seat mounting and is configured having, as a bottom section, a flange section (32) and a space between the seat ring (4) and the outer wall section (20), wherein a valve seat (3) which is press-fitted and affixed into the press fitting groove (42) causes an upper section of the valve seat (3) to protrude slightly in a state in which an extension section (27), that is larger than the outer circumference of the upper section of the valve seat (3), covers a location near a top section (23) of the outer wall section (20) and an extension section (28), that is smaller than the inner circumference of the upper section of the valve seat (3), covers a location near a top section (35) of the seat ring (4).
