Abstract:
The invention pertains to the creation of permanent joints, specifically to soldering and welding using a light beam. The proposed device comprises a reflector in which are arranged electrodes (cathode and anode) in electrode mounts; a cooled housing in which the reflector is mounted; and a transparent screen. The device has an assembly for moving the electrodes as a pair and a device for creating an arc discharge mounted behind the reflector at the end of the anode. The device for creating an arc discharge comprises a cylindrical contact mounted so as to be capable of sliding along the anode and electrically connected to it. The contact is displaced with the aid of a solenoid whose core is situated in a chamber which communicates with the inner cavity of the reflector, and of a resilient stay connected at one end to the solenoid core.
