Abstract:
A device and method for treating heavy metal hazardous waste by means of vacuum chlorination roasting. The method comprises: drying, grinding and sieving heavy metal hazardous solid waste, adding a chlorinating agent or a chlorinating agent and another additive, mixing uniformly, and then adding the mixture to a chlorination roasting chamber (1) through a high-level hopper (3); setting the pressure to 1 to 105 Pa, vacuumizing, and then setting the heating temperature to 200 to 600ºC, and stirring, heating and roasting the material in the chlorination roasting chamber (1) for 0.5 to 2 h; collecting, through a pipeline, generated volatile metal chlorides by a gas absorption chamber (2) containing an absorption liquid; and washing the remaining slag obtained in the chlorination roasting chamber (1), then filtering with pressure, and drying to obtain detoxified slag. The device and method are simple and convenient to operate, and can implement both detoxification of waste residues and resource recovery. There are no three wastes generated in the entire process route, and economic and social benefits are significant.
