Abstract:
Disclosed are a device and method for rail web rust removal before steel rail welding. The device comprises a rust removal power apparatus and a grinding and rust removal apparatus; the grinding and rust removal apparatus comprises a rust removal mechanism and a sliding mechanism, and the rust removal mechanism and the sliding mechanism are connected by means of an adjustable supporting mechanism; and the rust removal mechanism comprises two symmetrically arranged first and second rust removal mechanisms. The method comprises: I. mounting a rust removal power apparatus and a grinding and rust removal apparatus; II. adjusting the position of a grinding wheel; III. adjusting the position of a positioning mechanism; IV. rust removal; V. removing the grinding and rust removal apparatus; and VI. moving the grinding and rust removal apparatus, and removing rust on another steel rail to be treated. In the present invention, one worker may use a handrail to achieve the grinding and rust removal work of a rail web of a steel rail to be treated, which improves grinding efficiency; in addition, by providing a first rust removal mechanism and a second rust removal mechanism, the grinding and rust removal work of the rail web on inner and outer sides of the steel rail to be treated is simultaneously implemented, and the working intensity of the worker is reduced.
