Abstract:
The present invention provides a device for generating a depth image, comprising: a transmission unit for irradiating first light; a reception unit for outputting a first depth image of an object on the basis of first reflected light reflected from the object by means of the first light; and a control unit for controlling the transmission unit to irradiate the first light during operation in a first mode, and when it is determined that a distance of the object obtained on the basis of the first depth image goes beyond a set reference distance, controlling the transmission unit to switch from the first mode to a second mode so as to irradiate a second light having a pattern different from that of the first light.
