Abstract:
This developing roller is characterized by being provided with: a shaft member; a base layer which is positioned radially outside the shaft member; and a surface layer which is positioned radially outside the base layer so as to form the surface. This developing roller is also characterized in that: the surface layer contains triazine resin particles that have an average particle diameter of 2 μm or less; and the value obtained by dividing the content (parts by mass) of the triazine resin particles relative to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin contained in the surface layer by the average particle diameter (μm) of the triazine resin particles is from 38 to 750. In addition, an image forming apparatus according to the present invention is provided with this developing roller.
