Abstract:
Provided is a dehydrogenation system, or the like, facilitating the maintenance of a catalyst or a heater. This dehydrogenation system comprises a reaction vessel and a catalyst-holding device 20 including a resistance wire 21 that generates heat by the supply of electrical power, a tubular part 27 covering the side portion of the resistance wire 21, a catalyst cover part 33 covering at least partially the side portion of the tubular part 27, and a catalyst 31 activating a dehydrogenation reaction, provided between the tubular part 27 and the catalyst cover part 33. An organic hydride is supplied from above the catalyst-holding device 20. The catalyst cover part 33 has pores letting therethrough the organic hydride as well as the aromatic compounds and the hydrogen generated by the dehydrogenation reaction, without letting the catalyst 31 therethrough. The reaction vessel holds the catalyst-holding device 20 in a state wherein the catalyst cover part 33 is positioned in the interior of the reaction vessel and terminals 23 for the resistance wire 21 each have a section exposed to the exterior of the reaction vessel.
