Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a data transmission method and apparatus. The method comprises: a network device generating downlink control information (DCI), wherein the DCI can be used for indicating a first modulation mode or a second modulation mode, or can be used for only indicating the second modulation mode; the DCI comprises a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) domain; and when the MCS domain is in a first state, the DCI is used for indicating the first modulation mode, and when the MCS domain is in a second state, the DCI is used for indicating the second modulation mode and an MCS index of the second modulation mode; the network device sending the DCI; and a terminal receiving the DCI, and receiving or sending data according to the DCI. In the embodiments of the present application, a first modulation mode, and a second modulation mode and an MCS index of the second modulation mode are indicated by different states of an MCS domain, such that a newly added modulation mode is supported without increasing DCI overheads.
