The present application relates to the field of data processing, and discloses a data processing method, a readable storage medium, and an electronic device. Login accounts of instant messaging applications in a first electronic device and M second electronic devices are all in a first group. The method comprises: when it is determined that a target file accessed by a user in the first group has been deleted from a first server, the first electronic device sends a recovery request for recovering the target file to a second server; in response to the recovery request, on the basis of device states of N second electronic devices which store the target file, the second server determines a target upload device among the N second electronic devices; the target upload device uploads the target file to the first server; and the first server sends the target file to the first electronic device. In this way, the first electronic device can acquire the target file from the target upload device, and the target file can be prevented from being uploaded when the device states of the second electronic devices are poor, thereby improving the user experience.
