Abstract:
A staking section provided to this damping-force adjustable damper comprises: a groove for staking, provided in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface of a solenoid case; and one end of the thin-wall section of a valve case, the one end being bent and contained in the groove for staking. The groove for staking has a sloped surface sloped inward of a case 40 toward the solenoid case side from the valve case side. As a result of this configuration, the solenoid case and the valve case can be firmly affixed by staking while a load on a solenoid block and a valve block caused by the affixation by the staking is limited to a minimum level.
