Abstract:
A processor (81) acquires an output image density that is the detected density of a first toner image detected by a density detecting unit (5). The processor (81) causes a cleaning unit (45) to execute a toner recovery process when a second toner image passes through a recovery member (451). The processor (81) causes the cleaning unit (45) to execute a toner discharge process. The processor (81) acquires a discharge toner density that is the detected density of the discharge toner detected by the density detecting unit (5). The processor (81) derives an index value of a toner discharge performance of the recovery member (451) by comparing the output image density and the discharge toner density.
