Abstract:
A continuously variable transmission (1) that has: a fixed pulley (31); a slide pulley (32); a belt (V) interposed between the fixed pulley (31) and the slide pulley (32); a rear cylinder (37) fixed to the fixed pulley (31) and having a circumferential wall section (372) positioned on the inner circumference side of a cylinder section (323) of the slide pulley (32); and a rotation speed sensor (120). A groove (38) that extends in the rotation axis direction is provided on the outer circumferential side of the circumferential wall section (372). The groove (38) comprises: a first groove section (381) being an area that functions as a detected section in the rotation speed sensor (120); and a second groove section (382) being an area that excludes the first groove section (381). The length (Lb) of the second groove section (382) in the rotation axis X1 direction is longer than the length (La) of the first groove section (381) in the rotation axis X1 direction.
