Abstract:
A continuously variable transmission controller which has first and second shift modes as torque transmission paths for transmitting torque from a drive source to an output shaft, and a direct connection mode which bypasses a torque transmission member of the continuously variable transmission mechanism, said continuously variable transmission controller being provided with first and second solenoid valves that operate torque transmission path switching mechanisms, wherein, if abnormalities in the switching mechanisms and/or the first and second solenoid valves are detected (YES in Step S16 or S20) when it is determined that the torque transmission path is to be switched (YES in Step S10), the continuously variable transmission is switched to the direct connection mode (Step S18, S24).
