Abstract:
A continuous process for preparing a prepreg, comprising the following steps: S1. preparing a raw material; S2. spinning the raw material to form a semi-finished ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber; S3. drawing the semi-finished ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber to form a finished product in a multi-stage manner, while impregnating with a liquid matrix; S4. solidifying the matrix on an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber layer to form an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber prepreg; S5. laminating two ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber prepregs in orthogonal alignment with each other along warp and weft directions to form a non-woven fabric. The multi-stage drawing of S3 is performed by means of a drawing apparatus (1), and the matrix is impregnated by means of an impregnation apparatus (5). The process has the effect of storing the manufactured finished ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers in the form of a prepreg, so that the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers do not easily rub against each other and cause abrasion.
