Abstract:

A construction for easily and inexpensively fixing side covers to the main body of a bearing for rectilinear motion, which is widely used as an industrial machine element, and particularly in a small-sized bearing for rectilinear motion. At least two engaging portions (31, 31) are provided on a pair of side covers (30, 30) directly fixed to opposite end surfaces of the main body (20) of the bearing, hook portions (61) engageable with the engaging portions (31) of the side covers (30) are formed on at least two connecting plates (60, 60) bridged between the pair of side covers (30, 30) in a manner to stride over the main body (20) of bearing, and the hook portions (61) at the opposite ends of the connecting plate (60) are engaged with associated engaging portion (31) of the side covers (30) so as to integrally fix the main body (20) of the bearing to the pair of side covers (30, 30).
