Abstract:
Provided is a constant velocity universal joint which is vibration-absorbing, durable and compact in design. The universal joint has a first shaft member (1) having a cylindrical portion (6) that has a radially inwardly protruding torque-transmitting surface therein and a second shaft member (2) having a shaft (17), the shaft (17) being received in the cylindrical portion (6) and having a radially outwardly protruding torque-transmitting surface. An elastic member (23) is inserted between the first and the second shaft member. Between the torque-transmitting surfaces on the first and the second shaft members exists a gap at a position out of the elastic member (23).
