Abstract:

[Problem] To attain a connection mechanism that is for a copper pipe and a joint and that enables easy connection only by nut fastening without requiring heat, unlike soldering work, and enables laying a copper pipe without a special laying technique. [Solution] Provided is a connection mechanism 1 between a copper pipe 2 and a joint 3 for connecting the copper 2 and the joint 3 by means of a nut 4. The joint 3 has a corner part 12 formed, at a boundary with an inner diameter part 8, by forming a large diameter part 11 from the inner peripheral surface open side of the nut engaging cylindrical part 10 of the nut 4, the inner diameter part 8 abutting on one inclined surface 5 of a projecting part 7 having two inclined surfaces 5 and 6 formed in the copper pipe 2, and is provided with a fitting cylindrical part 13 in the center of the joint 3 so as to be adjacent to the nut engaging cylindrical part 10. The nut 4 has an extension cylindrical part 20 extending from a nut body 19 to fit around the copper pipe 2, and also has a reinforcing cylindrical part 21 extending in a direction opposite to the extending cylindrical part 20 of the bot body 19 to fit around the fitting cylindrical part 13 of the joint 3.
