Description:
Connection joints of a frame system and frame system based on them

The invention relates to connection joints and three-dimensional frame system based on them, which is suitable for mounting a mobile fair, exhibition constructions and billboards equipped with glass, metal or ceramic panel facades.

Glass and glass products are widely used in construction and design decoration, for example, as partitions, protective fence stairs, balconies, openings and as an external design of the facade of buildings, in the construction of exhibition equipment and etc.

Traditionally, a rigid frame of load-bearing structures of the building or rigidly fixed metal racks is used for an installation of glass panel partitions, facades, stained glass. The glass panels connected to the frame by a system of fastening of glass, with the cable structure or without it. Such systems named spider glazing system [1, 2] contains structural elements similar to the one produced «Kin Long» [3]. The main difference between spider glazing system and other methods of mounting glass structures is the lack of load-bearing structures between glass panels, because of their fixation is carried out by pre-drilled holes and rutel to the spider, which is a spatial metal bracket attached to the bearing structures.

Spider glazing system allows to build a reliable stationary glass construction of different shapes having tight coupling to the supporting frame. Just rigid frame defines the configuration of glass panel construction. However, the previous formation of the load-bearing frame structure or dependence on the supporting structures of the building is both a failure of spider glazing system, because it makes impossible its use for mobile trade or exhibition structures as well as exhibition stands contains a large area of glass facades. Also spider glazing system is not adapted for the formation of curved glass facades.

The bearing frame is known (prototype) that contains braces and connection joints produced by Leitner Burkhard (DE), constructions «CLIC» and «CLIC Rund» of Magnetic system [4, 5]. This frame is form by combining tubular connective elements and connection joints, which made in form of a rectangular parallelepiped or trapezoidal prism. For this purpose cylindrical

l pins, having a ferromagnetic plot in the free-thread end, screwed in the connection joints, and connect the free-thread end with the hole of the tubular connecting element to fixing with magnet located on it. Construction «CLIC» and «CLIC Rund» allow to built bearing frame easily and quickly, which can be used in the form of a versatile modular system for two and three dimensional presentations, different structures, including arched, curved and rounded structures. Using a special attachment contains rubber circular extenders a light vinyl and textile not curved facade panel elements attached to the supporting frame. Also glass facade panel elements are able to join to the supporting frame. However, because of their considerable weight stiffness of the load-bearing frame structures should be strengthened by diagonal connecting elements that increase resistance to distortion of the frame structure.

The design of the connection joints of «CLIC» and «CLIC Rund» of Magnetic system hinder their wide use for building mobile trade and exhibition constructions and promotional stands using glass, metal, ceramic facade panel elements having not curved shape as well as not allow to apply glass, metal, ceramic facade panel elements with rounded shape. Fixation the panels to the connection joints of «CLIC» and «CLIC Rund» of Magnetic system form considerable distance between panel elements and not allow to form a visual continuous facade surface of the panel elements.

The present invention provides the connection joints, which in combination with the connecting elements and system of the connection joints like the prototype has and by simplifying the constructions of the prototype, forming reliable, hard frame for bent and curved glass, metal, ceramic prefabricated elements that can be quickly mounted on the site, and which is the basis of the new frame system for measuring three dimensional mobile trade and exhibition structure and promotional stands with different not segmented construction, including arched, curved and rounded surface. In according to the invention proposed two constructions of the connection joints in the form of a prism with threaded holes for mounting of the connecting elements and panel elements, distinctive features of which are given in Claim 1 and Claim 3. In according to the one embodiment of the invention the connection joints have the shape of a trapezoidal prism, the base of which and the opposite side have at least one threaded hole for mounting of panel elements or connecting elements. Other sides have at least two threaded holes for mounting of panel elements or connecting elements. Moreover, the mutually opposite lateral sides of the trapezoidal prism are used to connect the vertical panel elements. Trapezium shape of the connection joints allows attach its opposite sides to curved panel elements.

The best form of the connection joints contain one of the mutually opposite lateral sides of the trapezoidal prism having larger plane has a curved surface, that allows, to accurately repeat the smooth lines of rounded facade surface formed from the panel elements under mounting of panel elements to the curved surface. And the second of mutually opposite side of trapezoidal prism can have smooth surface if this side join with connecting elements, or curved surface, if this side join with panel elements which includes rounded surface. The curved surface does not prevent joining it to the connecting elements.

In according to the second embodiment of the invention the connection joints have a shape of a rectangular prism, the base of which and the opposite side has at least one threaded holes and the other sides have at least two threaded holes for mounting of the panel elements or connecting elements. Herewith, to connect the vertical panel elements use two mutually opposite sides. This form of the connection joints al lows attaching not curved panel elements to its opposite side.

One form of embodiment of each said connection joints contains the base and its opposite side equipped with two threaded holes. Using these holes for joining to the connection elements provides frame construction in which ones are used with better rigidity.

The other embodiment of the invention relates to the connection joints that contain mutually opposing sides of the prism used to connect vertical panel elements, have four of threaded holes. Such connection joints are used to connect the four panel elements. Herewith, panel elements can be curved and/or not curved, depending on order in which connection elements are used and what kind of connection joints used in the frame system. For example, two connection joints in the form of trapezoidal prism can connect to a curved panel element. For connect not curved panel elements connection joints is used in the form of a rectangular prism. Herewith this connecting element can be connected to smooth surface of curved panel element if the one has such surface.

In according to the invention a frame system is proposed. The frame system consists of connecting elements and connection joints in according to Claiml or Claim3 connected to connecting elements via a screw pins. The frame system also includes not curved and/or curved panel elements made of glass or metal or metal alloys or ceramics in various combinations. Just using the new connection joints in the frame system and the possibility of their use in different combinations, makes it suitable for mounting of curved and/or not curved panel elements made of glass or metal or metal alloys or ceramics, to the frame construction and increase a reliability and rigidity of the frame construction.

One variant of the proposed frame system contain curved and/or not curved panel elements made of composite materials based on glass or ceramic or metal or metal alloys in different combinations.

The invention is explained by means of following drawings, where:
