Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are a compensation method and device for a display panel. The compensation method for a display panel comprises: obtaining a test grayscale of a display panel to be tested, performing grayscale extension on the test grayscale, and determining a test mapping grayscale corresponding to the test grayscale; obtaining, by using a camera, actual display brightness and actual display chromaticity when said display panel displays the test mapping grayscale; and determining a grayscale compensation formula of each display region of the display panel according to target display brightness, actual display brightness, actual display chromaticity and target display chromaticity of a plurality of test mapping grayscales. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the display uniformity of the display panel is improved.
