A compensation chain apparatus for use in a traction-type building construction lift, comprising a weight compensation body composed of an end connector apparatus (1) and a strip-shaped compensation unit (2) connected to one another, one end of the weight compensation body being connected to a hoisting cage pulled by a traction machine and the other end being connected to a counterweight; the lift can pull the hoisting cage to move up and down by means of an overhead beam and winding wheel set changing the direction of a traction medium of the traction machine, the traction medium being steel wire rope or a steel strip, and the overhead beam being capable of moving up and down. By means of using a weight compensation body formed by connecting an end connector apparatus (1) and a strip-shaped compensation unit (2) that can be conveniently detached, the present compensation chain apparatus can adjust the connection length between the counterweight and the bottom of the hoisting cage in order to adapt to the various conditions that occur during the relative movement of the two, enabling the lifting device to run more smoothly and ensuring the safe operation of the device.
