Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a communication system which, while selecting one optimal master device as a time synchronization source for a slave device, is capable of establishing communication between a master device not selected as the time synchronization source, and the slave device. To this end, a slave device of a communication system according to the present disclosure is provided with: a synchronization information communication unit which sends and receives synchronization information to and from each master device in a master device group; a corrected value calculating unit which compares the synchronization information received by the synchronization information communication unit with time information of a timer, to calculate synchronization difference information; a master information comparing unit which compares master-specific information sent from each master device in the master device group; and a master selecting unit which selects one master device from within the master device group as a synchronization source, on the basis of the master-specific information comparison result obtained by the master information comparing unit, and the synchronization difference information calculated by the corrected value calculating unit. The master-specific information includes information relating to the performance of a clock of the master device.
