Abstract:
Provided is a communication cable that is adapted for high-frequency data transfer and that can realize simplification of the internal structure of the cable. Disclosed is a communication cable 1 formed by twisting together multiple insulated electric wires 12 each obtained by covering a conductor 14 with an insulator 16. In the communication cable 1, the conductor 14 is formed by a single wire having a circular cross-sectional shape or a compression stranded wire having a circular cross-sectional shape, and the total sum proportion of distances between strands with respect to the circular-arc length of the circumscribed circle of the conductor is 71% or lower.
