Abstract:
In order to provide a combination oil control ring for an automobile engine capable of maintaining an excellent oil control function without the occurrence of sticking between a spacer-expander and a side rail, even if the engine is operated for an extended period of time, peak portions and valley portions formed in the shape of a wave in the axial direction of the spacer-expander are configured from an ear portion which presses an inner circumferential surface of the side rail, and a rail facing portion facing a side surface of the side rail, wherein the ear portions each include a through hole, an angle of inclination (θ), from the axial direction, of leg portions joining the peak portions and the valley portions is less than 15°, and the rail facing portions include a convex portion comprising one convex shape in substantially the circumferential direction only.
