Abstract:
A color cathode ray tube, comprising a shadow mask (7) having a main mask (14) and an auxiliary mask (20) overlapped with each other, the auxiliary mask (20) further comprising a holed part (21) having electron beam passing holes formed therein, non-holed parts (23) positioned at both ends of the holed part, a pair of skirt parts (24) extended from the non-holed parts and overlapped with the skirt parts (17) of the main mask, and second beads (25) formed on the skirt parts and overlapped with the first beads (18) of the main mask, wherein the heights or widths of the first beads (18) and the second beads (25) are differentiated from each other between superimposed parts where the main mask is overlapped with the auxiliary mask and non-superimposed parts other than the superimposed parts, whereby the positional displacement of the main mask from the auxiliary mask at the time of press molding can be effectively suppressed.
