Abstract:
Provided are a coal grinding method and grinding facility with which it is possible to accurately and quickly identify the occurrence of, from among variations in the grain size of coal ground by a grinding mill, variation in the coal grain size that in particular is attributable to factors occurring in the grinding mill, such as wear on the hammer, take appropriate measures against such variation, and thereby reduce variation in the grain size of the ground coal.　When coal is ground in a blending tank line A comprising grain size gauges 3a to 3c that measure the grain size of coal ground by grinding mills 2a to 2c, the relationship between the grinding strength when grinding coal with the grinding mills 2a to 2c and the grain size of the ground coal is determined in advance, the grinding of coal is performed while the grinding strength of the grinding mills 2a to 2c is adjusted on the basis of this relationship such that the coal grain size measured by the grain size gauges 3a to 3c is a target grain size, temporal variation of the coal grain size measured by the grain size gauges 3a to 3c relative to the target grain size is measured, and if the variation of the coal grain size exceeds a threshold, it is determined that the variation exceeds the threshold due to a factor occurring in the grinding mills 2a to 2c, and the grinding method of the grinding mills 2a to 2c is changed.
