Abstract:
A clutch for switching the transmission of rotary power. Since rotary power from one drive shaft is heretofore transmitted to or disconnected from one driven shaft, two clutches are required to selectively transmit the power to two driven shafts. This clutch eliminates the above drawback, and has a constitution such that (a) first and second driven shafts (3) and (4) are coaxially supported to confront one another in a frame, (b) plungers (2), (2') engaged in the direction of rotation in contact between the shafts (3) and (4) are slidably linked to a drive unit such as a coil (1) or the like, and (c) a drive shaft (5) is connected to the plungers (2), (2'). When this clutch is used, the drive side is connected to the drive shaft (5), the driven side is connected to the first and the second driven shafts (3) and (4), and the coil is energized or deenergized to switch the transmission of the first and the second driven shafts (3) and (4).
