Abstract:
Provided is a clutch piston capable of distributing stress produced during pressure contact of a clutch plate so as to avoid a concentration of the stress, while suppressing increases in manufacturing costs. Provided is a clutch piston 1 that is attached to a clutch having a clutch plate 5 and a return spring 6, and that is capable of transmitting the driving force of a vehicle or blocking transmission of said driving force by means displacement in the axial direction, the clutch piston 1 comprising: an operating part 2 that performs pressure contact with the clutch plate 5 and transmits motive power, and that also releases the pressure contact force against the clutch plate 5 and blocks transmission of the driving force; a holding part 3 that holds one end part 6a of the return spring 6; and a recess 4 that is formed at a prescribed site of the holding part 3 and that is formed due to the sloping of a wall surface 4c which links an edge surface 4a and a bottom surface 4b.
