Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a clutch mechanism with which it is possible to change the maximum transmissible rotary torque, without the need of changing components holding an engaging member. [Solution] A clutch mechanism (22) is provided with a first clutch plate (54) that holds a columnar engaging member (60), and a second clutch plate (56) that holds spherical engaging members (66, 68). An inner holding hole (62) and an outer holding hole (64) provided on the radially outer side of the inner holding hole (62) are formed in the second clutch plate (56). The outer holding hole (64) is greater in diameter than the inner holding hole (62). In assembling the clutch mechanism (22), an engaging member is arranged in a corresponding holding hole, the engaging member being selected from the smaller-diameter spherical engaging member (66) corresponding to the smaller-diameter inner holding hole (62) and the greater-diameter spherical engaging member (68) corresponding to the greater-diameter inner holding hole (62). The maximum rotary torque is greater when the greater-diameter spherical engaging member (68) is selectively arranged than when the smaller-diameter spherical engaging member (66) is selectively arranged.
