Abstract:
A reduction gear (30) is capable of reducing the torque of a motor and outputting the reduced torque. A housing (12) is provided so as to be immovable relative to the motor (20), and has a cylindrical part (125). A drive cam (40) is provided on the inside of the cylindrical part so as to be able to rotate relative to the cylindrical part (125), has a plurality of drive cam grooves (400) formed in one end surface (411) thereof, and can be rotated by torque outputted from the reduction gear (30). An inverted cam (50) is provided on the inside of the cylindrical part (125) so as to be incapable of rotating relative to the cylindrical part (125) and capable of moving in the axial direction relative to the cylindrical part (125), has a plurality of inverted-cam grooves (500) formed in one end surface (511) so that a ball (3) is interposed between the inverted-cam grooves (500) and the drive cam grooves (400), and moves relative to the drive cam (40) in the axial direction upon rotating relative to the drive cam (40). In the axial direction of the drive cam (40), the drive cam grooves (400) are formed so that at least a portion thereof overlap with the reduction gear (30).
