Abstract:
This clamper mechanism 30 for a motion guide device comprises: a clamper body 31 connected to a movement member 13 side; an inner surface 35 having a tapered shape formed so that the distance between facing surfaces decreases toward an end of one surface of a track member 11; and a single rolling body 55 disposed between the one surface of the track member 11 and the inner surface 35, which face each other. When the rolling body 55 is subjected to a pressing force and pressed toward the position where the facing distance between the one surface of the track member 11 and the inner surface 35 of the clamper body 31 is small, a frictional force caused by the tapered shape is applied to the rolling body 55, and the clamper body 31 is restrained relative to the track member 11. Also, when the rolling body 55 moves out of the position where the facing distance between the one surface of the track member 11 and the inner surface 35 of the clamper body 31 is small, the frictional force caused by the tapered shape is released, and the clamper body 31 is freed from the restraint relative to the track member 11. The abovementioned configuration makes it possible to make the clamper mechanism for a motion guide device lightweight and compact.
